Blogging Journey

Week 8 of the Blogger Challenge and Work Travel

Hello All

It has been a crazy week on my side of the world. After a very busy weekend with our circuit overseer, I had to get on a flight to Cape Town first thing in the morning on Monday.  As part of my gratitude journey, I am working hard to view these trips as a blessing, and enjoy being in one of the most beautiful places in the world.  Definitely, attitude is everything, because I was so positive the visit went a lot better than I expected, even the weather was glorious, check out my instagram post.

The trip also meant that I am very late for my  52 Week Blogger Challenge post for week 8, but here it is

Week 8 What is in my grocery cart
So those of you who have been reading the blog for a while know that I love online shopping, I am the laziest shopper in the entire known universe.  So I do most of my shopping on a variety of online shops and then only go to the supermarket etc. to buy fruit and vegetables which are a staple food in my house.

Below is a sneak peek at my shopping carts waiting to be finalized. I buy most of my groceries at PicknPay and my clothes on SPREE, both of these deliver to my door and the items are of the quality I want.

I use the Picknpay website to keep a list of the things I buy frequently and I also add to my shopping cart until I am ready to have the items delivered.  I really love that you can access the same specials that are on at that time without going into the store.

How do you keep track of your groceries??  What would typically be found in your grocery cart?  Would love to know if you have any time saving tips

take care

I always used Pick n Pays online shopping when the twins were small and it was hectic to just get to a shop. Maybe I should do it again

I need to look into online grocery shopping and just having to pick them up. I really think it would help me not buy unneeded items!

I use ‘click and collect’ for my grocery shopping and it’s a lifesaver (order online and then pick it up, cheaper than delivery option). I don’t drive and my husband hates grocery shopping, so it’s the only way to avoid having to spend an hour of our weekend bickering in the store 😉 Plus it gives me much better control of my budget because I can see the total adding up before I get to the checkout and substitute items if it’s getting too pricey!

My only money saving tip is to shop at Aldi’s, if you have access to one. I love that they have an incredible variety of gluten-free products, the produce is good, and much cheaper. This week fresh asparagus, enough for 2-3 meals is less than $2. Win. And they have an incredible array of cheeses. Love cheese! LOL

Have fun on your trip, although you are away from home it looks as if you have great weather! I love your list, can’t wait to see what you are up to next!

Hello Nikki thank you for visiting the blog. We do not have an Aldi but I will check it online and I am sure I can find something similar to it here.

I’m so old school, I’ve tried the apps, but I usually have to give my phone to keep my 3-year old calm, and I’m left with a good ol’ pen and paper. I may have to check out this app. This 52-week blogging challenge looks really interesting. May have to look more into that as well. Pinning, stumbling and tweeting this post. Happy Monday!
