I am excited to introduce the next post in the #YourBeautifulSeries, these amazing women sharing with us, their journeys and discovery of their own Beauty. Please read, share and comment. Tandy said I do to her love, this past weekend, and we would like to wish the happy couple an amazing fulfilling life together.
Living a life of purpose by Tandy Williams
Over the years, I have found that my definition of what I consider to be beautiful has changed. When I was younger I thought it was a yellow-boned beautiful face with a beautiful body and that a beautiful personality was just the cherry on that cake. Then it became about the dark mysterious beauty. What I considered beautiful was based on what I was told was beautiful.
Learning with Age
Somehow as I got older though I realized that I would find myself drawn to confidence. A confident woman would make me want to be her friend to find out what secrets she knows to life that I didn’t know. I would want her as a friend and a mentor. Eventually, over the years, I found out that a lot of these confident women were just faking it in the hope of one day making it and that they were just as insecure as I was or possibly even worse off.
Lessons Learnt about beauty
Now I believe that beauty is to be a soul that loves themselves enough to follow their own unique path. It’s not a look or a behavior but a way of being. When someone insists on following their own unique path that’s 100% aligned to who they really are, they become of service to the rest of us as they inspire and guide and I think that is really HOT! And this is not just confined to human beings. Any living thing/being that is living its purpose at 100% without being bothered by others is beautiful. Whether it’s a flower, a bird or a human being of any sex. Their connection to GOD and all that is beautiful.
We have a duty to connect to that light and allow that beauty to shine through us in order to inspire others to also live a beautiful life of purpose. I imagine a beautiful world where no one conforms to any standards laid down by the beauty industry or society as a whole and everyone gets to be the unique weirdos that they were born to be. It all stems from self-love. We need to love ourselves enough to believe that in our purest state of ourselves….we are beautiful.
I recently lost a large amount of weight, people assume it’s because I wanted to be skinny because that’s what society tells us we want. Personally, I wanted to live up to my full potential; not just spiritually, intellectually or emotionally but physically too. I was never going to be in my optimal state if I weighed 112kgs. So I started to make some changes. What drove me was a distinction I had created for myself “I am alive, active and connected to my body.” Now nothing holds me back. God’s light shines through me and I am beautiful inside and out. I glow and sparkle because I am living my own unique life and I attract others that are doing the same.
“Your beauty is timeless. Your light is endless. Believe this, sweet one, and shine from the inside out! With love, your Angels.”

There is way too much pressure on outside appearance for beauty. Beauty truly does shine from the inside out! Congratulations to you on your weight loss!

September 15, 2016 at 1:30 pmWhile it will be nice to be skinny, I’m losing weight more for being healthy than anything. I want to be able to play with my kids for as long as they want. I want to set an example for them about healthy living.
