Being Present and Showing Emphathy to others

Being Present and Showing Emphathy to others

It is important to try and live a life where we are present in all circumstances, paying attention to our surroundings and paying attention to how our behavior, prejudices, views, wants can have an impact on feelings and outcomes for other people. Being present helps you to cultivate empathy, to be kind and loving towards others even those who are not our friends.

I am working on showing more empathy, and being more aware of what happening too, and with people around me. It is important that I teach this to my children.

How are you fostering emphathy in your life? Share your thoughts.

A wonderful post. I am currently a volunteer with Safespace, an organization that assists those who are former victims of domestic violence. This is just one of the ways I can be present who those who are healing, as well as leading with an empathic heart. 🙂 Thank you for sharing this. #ibabloggers

Thank you for reminding us about empathy. Sometimes we get too caught up in our own lives. #ibabloggers

Who could disagree with you, in regards to your last sentence? 🙂

When I read the title to this post, I was over-thinking it. So, I stopped that (became present). Then, I read it and was still over-thinking the content. But, really, it is important to be present, if for no other reason, so that you can be empathetic towards others, especially when they need it. I like posts like this! 🙂
