A Quick Meal Idea: Fruit Filled Tasty, Light Lunch
Today I share with you, my go-to tasty, comfort lunch. Winter is bad for our healthy eating plans, if you are anything like me, on cold days, I crave wholesome tasty and generally fattening foods. So today I am sharing with you an easy way to feel full but also feel like I dealt with my need for comforting, tasty food.
The Ingredients
You don’t need any special items, all that I used here is part of my weekly grocery list.
- Your favorite bread (We used ciabatta)
- A spread – used one of my current favorites which is part of the Buttanut brand my preferred flavour being Honey Almond
- Banana’s (We go through a lot of these in a week at my house)
- Strawberries – because I love the taste and the colour
- A nice hot cup of coffee, hot chocolate or tea
THE HOW TO PART: IN PICTURES (IT’S SO EASY)
Grab your favorite bread cut into slices, I personally find that 2 thin slices of Ciabatta work very well, as this is a rich sandwhich.
Pop into the Toaster for as long as you require. I like my toast very slightly toasted, so I have it in there for 3 minutes
Next Slather some of that Spread, (You don’t have to put any spread if you like your bread dry, or you can use butter)
Slice the banana’s and lay them on top of each slice. Add Strawberries on top.
Some people would prefer more of their favorite spread on top of this or even whipped cream for extra oomph. By this time, I am usual done and I am happy with the taste sensation I have created.
Now enjoy with your favorite hot beverage.
MY TASTY, LIGHT MEAL
The end result:
And that’s it folks! It is easy to do and definitely tasty. Do you have a simple meal idea to share that will make these winter days go faster? Please share below in the comments.
Have a great week ahead.
Lots of love
