Re-Discovering My blog

Re-Discovering my love for Blogging

Hello, World

I have been a tad bit quiet on the blog, the reason being, I have been hard at work on improving the blog behind the scenes. I have been rather fortunate to find something that I love that fits in with where my life is right now,  so finding out that I love writing and by extension I like blogging was a great thing.

Blogging has been an interesting journey in unexpected ways, it has surfaced some interesting personality traits that I have been avoiding for a while. One of those traits is that I am one of those crazily decisive people, especially about things that would not be considered important in the adult life context, such as, if I go read an article and it has ugly pictures then I lose complete interest in the article.  The second one, I am a visual stimulated person (all my main impressions about any memory are very visual, I am continuously scanning for behavioural makers in people actions and expressions, I walk into a shop and can tell you within 30 seconds because of how it is setup, and I hate fast moving pictures as they overwhelm my sense – which is one of the reasons I do not watch much tv). So as you can see I am not much of an adult.

What have I been up to

The above leads back to what I have been busy with.  Unfortunately, I realised a few weeks ago that I was getting bored with my blog, I couldn’t put my finger on it, as I still had so many ideas, and I was still writing  and writing every spare moment I got, just as long as I was not adding it to my blog.  I finally realised that I was not finding the blog visually pleasing, in actual fact it felt too cluttered and I hated that, so I decided it was time for a change.

I started looking around for blogs that I like and that I find visually attractive, I thought about why I liked them and then I started working on mine and as I slowly chipped away at the old look, and just paired down to less colours and better pictures, a uniform look in terms of fonts, I slowly started to feel better.

The “Not So” End Result

So the look is way more minimalistic and hopefully allows the content and imagery to stand out better.  I hope that it also allows the reader to be able to find information that they are looking for.  There is definitely more work to be done, but I already feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders – and hopefully that means you will enjoy visiting the blog more.

Re-discovering my love for the blog

I am happy I took the time to work on something I love so that the love can remain

I would be highly interesting in getting your views as the readers of the blog, What do you think about the new look. What do you like? What do you think is missing? I am looking forward to hearing from you…

Being visual must help you so much in the field you have chosen. Skin, Fashion, Home, pinterest, graphics…I think that is a GOOD thing. I wish I had more of that!
