Introducing the Travel Manuel – Settle down for what?

One of the blogs I follow because of their fresh travelling content is called The Travel Manuel. The other day while browsing through some of their older posts I came across an article which snagged my attention. It reflects so much of what I had been thinking just a few days earlier.

Introducing the Travel Manuel - Settle down for what?

As many know I love to travel, and because of my work I am also constantly on the road. I always find other peoples reaction to this very interesting, somehow by not being constantly bound to one place, they feel I am not fulfilling my duty to the world as a woman, wife or a mother, some of the comments even go as far as to indicate that I am selfish and should be at home where people can find me if they want. This always makes me just roll my eyes inside, while pretending to listen to THE PEOPLE.

The Travel Manual’s article on why we question the nomadic, carefree, travel life that some people have chosen has really hit home for me. If I had a choice I know what life I would lead, I would be travelling the world, tasting new adventures, taking my kids on never ending adventures and being amazed by new things. I really enjoyed reading their insights and observations hope you do too.
