#Letsplaytogether with Mattel in South Africa,
Reliving my childhood
Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending a really cool event, Mattel’s Launch in SA. I had so much fun, with the other blogging ladies.
Firstly South African Mommy Bloggers are a lot of fun and that made the evening, even more enjoyable.
I also loved learning more about some of my favourite toys, Please note that I say mine because let’s be honest my 2-year-old, doesn’t care as yet what he plays with as long as he plays LOL. But as a mom I am always on the lookout for fun and educational toys that can assist in my children’s development.
One of their best-known brands is of course Barbie, the doll designed by mom, Ruth Handler in 1959, so that her own daughter “could play out her dreams”. It has certainly become a world wide phenomena. I absolutely loved this video showcasing how Barbie’s philosophy “You can be anything you imagine, inspiring young girls all over the world.
My boys would have loved to see the Thomas the Engine and friends, toys displayed so beautifully on the shelves. Luckily for me, though, they were not there because none of those toys would have stayed on the shelves. Welcome to SA Mattel.
