As part of our Meet the Blogger series, we speak to Zodwa who contributes to the blog A Well Heeled Woman. She was briefly introduced, in the Meet the Team page.

Tell us a bit about yourself and your family?

My name is Zodwa Mbatha, I’m 27-year-old single mother of a young boy. I love music, reading and being outdoors.

Why did you start blogging?

I have always been fascinated by reading other people stories on how the view the world, what inspires them, what they love, so I also started blogging.

I wanted to share my views and what inspires me. Being a mum is tough but being a single mother is harder.  I have learnt a lot and I’m still learning how to be a better mother to my son and I’m learning how to be a better woman for myself.

How do you feel you can motivate other women?

I want to make other women feel good about themselves and know that the not alone and that someday it will be worth all the hardship they went through.

I believe we all have something to give to the world that’s what makes every one unique.

What do you want to be when you grow up, and What are you doing to make your dreams happen?

I have always liked helping people, as a result, I’m currently studying towards becoming a social worker. I don’t think I can help change the world but I do know that I can help someone else be a better person………………………maybe the world just needs better people.

What a great attitude. You might not change the whole world, but you can certainly change somebody’s world. 😉

I think that the goal towards filling the world with better people is so great! You might be right there, maybe the world does just need better people. 🙂 Also, that quote is amazing. I don’t know if I’ve ever heard it before. But, I know I’ll remember it now.
